If you want to improve your tennis game, you find a coach. If you want to master the latest computer program, you go to a class. If your kid is confused about their math homework, you hire a tutor.
Do you want to deepen your meditation practice? That's what Stillpoint Meditation is here for! Stillpoint Meditation offers one-on-one coaching with our teacher Pez Owen to help you through any challenge, toward any goal. What does that mean, exactly? That will depend on your specific intentions, but you can read a few examples of real coaching situations (names changed, of course) in the boxes on this page to give you an idea of how meditation coaching might look. |
Following a health scare, Rob decided to make some major lifestyle changes. He improved his diet, started regular exercise, and restructured his work environment. He also started working with Pez to learn some simple meditative techniques for improving his mental and emotional health. Rob meets with Pez monthly to discuss current issues and adapt his basic techniques to address whatever is coming up at the moment. Ann lives 250 miles away, but has worked with Pez remotely for several years, combining personal study with occasional online one-on-one coaching to develop a solid daily practice. She reports a reduction in her stress levels and better sleep as a result. |
Joanie had insomnia but despite following all the medical recommendations, she was still unable to quiet her worrying mind enough to get a good night’s sleep. After five sessions with Pez, she is now able to sleep through the night, and if she does wake in the early hours, she uses her personalized meditation techniques to get back to sleep. Joshua had a well established meditation practice, but wanted to deepen his understanding and add more tools to his meditative toolbox. Over several months, Joshua and Pez met weekly for carefully structured lessons, including homework and meditation practice exercises, so that Joshua could master the Unified Mindfulness system in which Stillpoint is rooted. |
